Technology and R&D

Today’s customer expectations are:

  • • Crease-free finishing
    • Low residual shrinkage
    • Low stress applied to fabric surface
    • Good fabric handle, high quality, corresponding fabric volume
    • Low process cost
    • Reducing the usage of chemicals
    • Environmental friendly process

Behavior of knit goods during finishing

How You Can Get Good Quality With Residual Length Shrinkage Below 5%

  1. 1. Make a wash test and tumbling test with grey fabric and measure the width
    2. Measured width + required width shrinkage = Final width
    3. Over stretching the fabric after wet processing with over feed in length. Through the wet
process fibers connection at the loops are fixed, this has to be loosened. Elasticity and
dryshrinkage of five times washed and tumbled knitted fabric in the drying process
    4. Fabric has to have more than 50% moisture

    5. Drying process needs high efficiency mechanical effect – movements / second
    6. Temperature higher than 140 ºC
    7. Ironing the fabric smoothly on a compacting calendar
    8. Operating speed up to 40 mtrs/min

Benefits of Open-width Processing:

  • 1. Uniform GSM throughout the length / width of the compacted fabric
    2. Spirality also minimized up to the international standards (compared to higher range in tubular      compacting verifying up to 10%)
    3. Unmatching shade between top / bottom layer of fabrics in tubular compacting is overcome in
         this process
    4. Bowing corrections of auto striped/yarn dyed fabrics and be improved enhanced finishing of
dyed / printed / mercerized fabrics, resulting in 5% to 10% more realization of fab
